Still keeping it simple
An update on what skin care products I'm using, the key is keeping it simple.
(Products are in order from left to right)
In the morning and Afternoon, I using only two products, Olay Face Wash and Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle Cream SPF 15 and once a week my St.Ives Apricot Scrub.
When it's time for bed, I use my Olay Face Wash and my prescription of Retinol to prevent acne, I have a generic brand called Tretinoin Cream 0.1%.
I tend to change my face wash product alot but I am loving Olay face wash, It's just a simple basic face wash. The retinol cream is to prevent acne but also prevents wrinkles and age spots. Neutrogena anti-wrinkle cream is my daily moisturizer, should I ever forget to wear sunblock it has SPF 15. My St.Ives Apricot Scrub is the best scrub out there, cheap and effective.
Oh yes, not to forget my favorite sunscreen. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 45 is perfect for me, always wear sunblock to keep skin cancer away. Reapply every 2-3 hours.
Take care, Maya

Hoilday season = Breakouts and music video
Tis the season for happiness, laughter, and breakouts. I seem to breakout alot around this time of year. Novemember and December are the worst months, I breakout around my nose and forehead. It happens every year and for all those years I never did anything to stop and prevent. But this year I plan on doing something. I've heard and read mix reviews on "Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips" and was thinking about giving them a try. But I read you can get broken capillaries from using pore strips.... bummer.
I was reading that Hikaru Utada sang a song for a young girl who was one of the victims in a school stabbing. I was listening to the song just awhile ago, it's so beautiful....

Food, Inc.
"Director Robert Kenner's documentary explores the food industry's detrimental effects on our health and environment. Kenner spotlights the men and women who are working to reform an industry rife with monopolies, questionable interpretations of laws and subsidies, political ties and rising rates of E. coli outbreaks."
This is the best documentary I've seen in a long time. After watching this, it was like a blindfold was removed from my eyes and I was able to see for the first time. This film takes you back not to the kitchen but to the so called "farm lands" where all our food in made. There are interviews with farmers that will make you ask "are they really farmers?". Corn that can be made into many many things that you wouldn't even think had that ingredient. We can finally learn the truth about our meats (pork, beef and chicken). See the conditions of the animals before they are brought to your dinner table. Now I know what's really going on with the foods I buy at the grocery market. The film will make you think twice about the foods you were buying and help you make better and healthier choices in the future. All I can say is wow...
This film is NOT for the faint of heart.
The film is set to be release on DVD on November 03, 2009. This is a MUST see.

Fall and a pumpkin
I remember every year in elementary school, our class would go on a field trip to a farm. We would learn about the farm animals, get to work on the farm a bit, milk the cows (never milked the cow beacuse I thought it was so disgusting), plant seeds and learn about the farm's history. My favorite part was when we all got a chance to go on a hayride. On the hayride we got to see the whole farm, the crops, nearly all the animal, some people working in the fields. At the end of every hayride would stop at the pumpkin patch and allow to take one pumpkin home with us. I always tried to take the biggest pumpkin but I was way to small to carry such a huge thing. So I pick one about the size of a basketball and left with that(so disappointed).
After we had lunch, went to the gift shop (never understood why a farm would have a gift shop), and borad the yellow bus and went home, I put my pumpkin in my room and never touched it. My grandmother offer to turn my pumpkin into a pumpkin pie. I didn't want to at first but I said okay and we made it into a pie. After an hour and half of cooking with my grandmother and waiting patiently came the end result: Best....pie....EVER!!!! From there on out my grandmother taught me how to cook. She is the best teacher....
Why is it that grandmothers are the best at cooking?! Want....more.....pie.

Its been awhile....
I havn't forgot about my blog, my readers or the friends I made on Xanga, I love you guys!
I've been busy with college and spending time with the boyfriend.
But I've been spending most of my time helping a friend who kinda "lost their way".
My friend had some problems in high school and drop out, didn't graduated with our class.
So I'm trying to help my friend see there is NO shame in getting a G.E.D.
My friend can still get a job, go to college and be a huge success in the real world.
But I told my friend that the longer the wait the harder it will be.
So I'm helping my friend study for the G.E.D test.
I don't think anyone should put down anyone for getting a G.E.D.
And I definitely don't think anyone should be ashamed in getting or having a G.E.D.
I support my friend 100% and don't see her any different with H.S.D. or G.E.D.
